Albert Everette Moore, Sr.

Mr. Albert Everette Moore, Sr., 82, of 351 Whitener Street Shelby, NC passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on November 1, 1937 to the late Lorenda William Moore and Lorena Georgiana Kirkland.

Albert was a member of Hoppers Chapel Baptist Church where he loved singing on the Men's Choir. He loved to cook and was known for his wonderful culinary skills. His pastimes included fishing, watching Westerns and being around family which he especially enjoyed hanging out with his brother-in-law, Rob.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Katheryne McKinney and brothers, Carl Moore, Lee Moore, Larry Moore, William Moore and Lawrence Moore.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Lucresia Wilson Moore; sons, Alvin Dewayne Moore of Lincolnton, NC, Allen Gregory Moore of Kings Mountain, NC, Albert E. Moore, Jr., (Katrina) of Charlotte, NC; step-children, Traveka Parrish of Shelby, Larry Charles Horton, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA and Phillip Jerome Horton of Kings Mountain, NC; sisters, Patricia Rippy (Sam) of Decatur, GA, Joyce Degree (Gus) of Stockbridge, GA and Deborah Annette London of Hickory, NC; one brother-in-law, Robert L. Wilson (Paula) of Kings Mountain, NC; sisters-in-law, Gardenia Wilson of Shelby, Delores Wilson of Charlotte, NC, Rev. Gloria Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Angenette Wilson of Gastonia, NC Jenelle Youngblood and Constance Wilson both of Shelby, NC; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren two of which he helped rear, Jequalyn Parrish and Jocelyn Parrish; cousins who were reared as siblings, Sandra Moore and Ronnie Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Hopper's Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the church. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com. Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
