The retirees form Kosa fished Lake Wylie last week, with John Black and Roger  McNeely picking up the win with a catch of 10.5. David O’Shields and Doug Sparrow finished second with 10.0. Ronnie Humphries had 7.12 and settled in third. Big bass of the day was a 3.7  largemouth brought in by Mack Wyatt. This week it is back to Lake Norman for the geezers.

NCDA To Charge Peak-Season Soil Testing Fee
The Appropriations Act of 2013 contains a provision to implement a new soil-testing fee. Pending final approval by the Board of Agriculture, a $4 fee will be charged for all soil samples processed by the NCDA&CS Agronomic Division during its busiest season: December through March.  There will still be no fee from April through November.
