Betty Sue Hollifield, age 75, of South Boardman, MI, formerly of Kings Mountain, NC passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
Mr. Grady E. Brackett, age 70, passed away on March 14, 2014 a former resident of Peak Resources Rehab and Nursing Center and was born in Shelby on January 30,1944.
Larry Steven Byrd, 73, died on Monday, March 31, 2014 at home. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of Lucille Johnson Greene and husband Ralph of Shelby and the late William Dallas Byrd. Larry received his BS in education from Appalachian State University, then did much of his Master’s work at UNC – Chapel Hill and received his Master’s Degree from UNC – Charlotte.
Lila Kate Beaty Franklin, age 57, went to sleep on March 31, 2014 to go to heaven and be with her Lord, Jesus Christ.
Mildred Louise “Maw” Weaver Wilson, 87, died Sunday, Mar. 30, 2014, at Gaston Manor in Gastonia.
Miriam Hamrick Glenn, age 87 died Monday March 31, 2014 surrounded by her family at home.
Robert Nelson Connor, “Pop Pop”, died peacefully, on Saturday, March 29th. Born August 19, 1949, in Gastonia, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Adam Eugene Connor (Jim) and the late Alice Pearson Connor.
