Walter Poole, 70, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Howard and Aileen Willis Poole. Walter served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of New Bethel Church of Shelby.

The weekly bass tournaments are still going on over on Moss Lake, although they are on Saturday mornings, until lake levels come up to a safe level to fish at night.
