Buddy Ray Smith, 65, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his residence.

Buddy was born in Gaston County, NC on September 11, 1955 a son of the late Thomas Andrew Smith and Ellie Mae Maxwell Smith. He worked as a welder and fabricator. Buddy enjoyed dirt track racing.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Smith Ford of Alexis; one grandson and two sisters, Mary Ledbetter of Dallas and Diann Summey of Alexis.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
