Charles Lamar "Boob Doctor" Byrd, 49 of 110 Peter Key Road Lawndale, NC passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at his residence.

He was born in Cleveland County, NC on May 27, 1971 to Della Mae Fuller Byrd and the late Jerry Cornelious Byrd.

Charles was a 1989 graduate of Burns High School. He was employed with Impact Furniture in Hickory, NC for 12 years and was employed with Clearwater Paper for 8 years. He was a hardworking man who loved taking care of his family. In his leisure time, he enjoyed sitting in the yard with family and friends listening to Tupac. He was a die-hard Washington Redskin fan and he also loved cooking on the grill.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sara Elizabeth Spikes Fuller.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 13 years whom he has been together with for 26 years, Lynn Clark Byrd; his mother, Della Mae Fuller Byrd of Shelby; four children, Tevin Byrd of NY, Shakena Ferrell and Ja'Quilla Byrd both of Shelby and Octavius Clark (Quanisha) of Gaffney, SC; grandchildren, Kiana Clark, Kylee Clark, Akeriana Simmons, Dashawn Clark, Keyshawn Clark, Kei'anna Clay and Shayia Cherish; two sisters, Elizabeth Byrd and Deborah West (Eddie) of Shelby; three brothers, Steven Byrd, Michael Byrd (Sherika) and Doug Phillips all of Shelby; father and mother-in-law, Robert Lewis and Jo Alice Clark of Lawndale; sister-in-law, Joyce Lee of Washington, DC; best friends who were like brothers, Lamont Lee, Tyrone Wimbush, and Torrance Clark; eight nieces; six nephews; aunts, Corrine Lee of Lawndale, NC, Estelle Ross of Kingstown, NC, Dorothy Wray (Walter) also of Kingstown; Euine Wimbush of Lawndale; Christine Morgan of Chicago, IL, Sara Ross (Chris) of Shelby, Velma Vinson (James) of Iron Station, NC, Mae Catherine Willamson of Vale, NC, Ann Clark of Lawndale, Betty Jean Clark of Hickory, NC and Mary Kee (Sonny) of Shelby; uncles, John P. Clark (Betty) of Lawndale, Robert Fuller (Ruth) and Danny Fuller (Tammy) both of Shelby and a host of great nieces and nephews; great aunts, cousins and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Byrd will be private. A viewing and reception of friends will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Lawndale from 1:00 PM until 1:30 PM.
