Darrell Claude Butler, 56, of 1538 Gold Farm Road, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Cleveland Hospice at Wendover. A native of Raeford County, NC, he was the son of the late Floyd and Beatrice Hardin Butler.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Shelia Spurling.

SURVIVED: He leaves behind to cherish many fond memories, his long time companion, Pamela Denise Lynch of the home; one sister, Libby Greene and husband Pharis of Grover, NC; two brothers, Keith Butler and wife Gail, Garland Butler and wife Becky, all of Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 pm Friday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby Chapel.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Garland and Becky Butler, 2130 Cedar Circle Drive, Shelby, NC 28152.

CLERGY: Rev. Forest “Dick” Whitener will be officiating.

MEMORIALS: Memorial may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
