 Joe Ed Walker, 72, of 953 Padgett Rd., Shelby passed away on Wednesday, June 2. Services were held at Sandy Plains Baptist Church in New House. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ruth Walker. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donnis Wright Walker; sons, Michael  Luther Walker of Shelby and Braxton Wright Walker and wife Heidi of Greensboro and brother, Harry S. Walker and wife Della.
