Cherryville - Mrs. Alice Kilby Wacaster, 77, passed away on Wednesday, July
10, 2019 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.

Alice was born on May 8, 1942 in Gaston County, NC a daughter of the late
Thad D. Kilby and Louise Setzer Kilby. She retired from Belk's in
Cherryville after working as a sales clerk in the shoe department for many
years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, the
love of her life, Hugh B. Wacaster and two brothers, Larry Kilby; John D.
Kilby and wife Teddy.

Survivors include her brother, Thad Kilby and wife Ellen of Gastonia;
nieces, Amy Kilby, Teddi Zayas, Joy Melton and Leigh Ann Kilby and a nephew
David Kilby; a great niece, Savannah Justice; special friends, Jane Hancock
and family, Marilyn Dellinger and her canine companion Tiny.

Visitation will be from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Friday, July 19, 2019 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, July 19, 2019 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Lowe officiating.

Burial will be private.
