SHELBY- Allison Turner Durbin, born on October 23, 1979, in Cleveland County, NC, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the age of 46, surrounded by her loving family.
Throughout her life, Allison was known for her strength and resilience, a testament to her generous heart and innate desire to help others. Her smile and loving spirit were cherished by all who knew her, and she will be remembered for the deep love and adoration she held for her family and friends.
As a devoted stay-at-home mom, Allison dedicated her time to providing a loving environment for her family. She found immense joy in spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, riding four-wheelers, or simply enjoying the serenity of a sunset. Her love for nature extended to the beach and mountains, places where she found peace and happiness.
Allison had a wonderful sense of humor and brought laughter and light-heartedness to those around her. She treasured family gatherings, especially during the holidays, when her home would be filled with love and joy. A coffee lover, Allison appreciated the simple pleasure of a good cup of Dunkin or Starbucks coffee.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gary Stephen Turner and Gwendolyn Lovelace Turner, her beloved grandparents, James Dazile Lovelace and Josie Charline Thrift Lovelace, and her dear cousins, Phillip and Garrett McLamb.
Allison leaves behind a devoted family, including her husband, Kenneth Durbin; her daughter, Madison Anthony, and husband Isaac; her sons, Zeric Durbin and Cody Durbin; and her stepchildren, Crystal and Christopher Durbin. She is also survived by her sister, Karin Turner Cook, and husband Clinton; her brother, Mark Stephen Turner, and wife Miranda; numerous grandchildren; her nephews, August, Turner, Ford, and Dylan; her niece, Carleigh; her Aunt Sue Lovelace McLamb Rippy; and her cousin, Michael McLamb.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate the life of Allison at a memorial service on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a service at 6:30 PM.
In remembrance of Allison, let us honor her legacy of love, laughter, and the unwavering support she provided to those she held dear. May her memory continue to bring comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
