Mrs. Avis Philbeck, Street, 84, of Mooresboro, NC passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011. Services were held at Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery. 

Mrs. Street was preceded in death by  her husband, John Leonhardt Street; her parents, Brisco and Gladys Lovelace Philbeck; five brothers; Hubert Philbeck; Hewitt Philbeck; Chivis Philbeck; Morris Philbeck and Max Philbeck; two sisters, Vertie Dellinger and Doris Stowe. 

Mrs. Street is survived by one son, John Leonhardt Street, Jr. “Junoir” and his wife Rita of Mooresboro; one daughter, Renee Street Smith and husband John; two brothers, Wade Philbeck of Green Hill and Edwin Philbeck of Mooresboro; one sister, Jennie Thompson and husband Robert of Rutherfordton; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
