Betty Joe Bookout Roberts, 91, passed away on October 10, 2023 at TerraBella in Shelby.

She was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter of the late Lee and Vergie Neal Bookout

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Margarie Dellinger and brother, Gene Bookout.

Betty was a life-long member of Westview Baptist Church in Shelby, NC.

Betty is survived by her husband, Joe Donald Roberts; son, David Roberts (Melody); granddaughter, Laura Roberts and sister, Nancy Price.

A celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 12, 2023 in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Bowling officiating. Private burial will be held at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
