Betty W. Phillips, age 75, resident of Kings Mountain, NC formerly of Bennett Drive,  went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.   She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late  Cecil and Queenie Williams.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank Phillips.   She was  a member of Oak View Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. where she was active in the “Young At Heart” Group.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who will be greatly missed.  She was a homemaker.

Daughter: Jenny Rikard and husband Barry,  all of Kings Mtn. NC

Sisters: Jo Neesmith, Kings Mtn. NC  Cecile Reynolds and husband Richard, Kings Mtn. NC  and Annie Dixon and husband Jim,  Shelby, NC

6 Grandchildren: Michael, Andrew and wife Mollie, Clay and wife Emma Phillips;

Stephanie Rikard Short and husband Shane; Stacy Phillips and fiance Brandon Howell.

12 Great Grandchildren: Kayla Walker; Sydney, Noah, and Max Phillips; Koby and Makalyn Rikard; Shaleigh Short; Nathan and Landyn Howell; Alyssa, Gabriel, and Daniel Ramsey.

Numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

VISITATION: 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. Wednesday evening, November 30, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC other times at the home of the daughter, Jenny Rikard, 201 Pinehurst Drive, Kings Mountain, NC.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
