Billy Joe Sandifer, age 59 died Tuesday October 9, 2013  at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born on September 15, 1954 in Lake Charles Louisiana , he was the son of the late Charley Lafayette and Joy Charlotte Young Sandifer.  He was a QC inspector at Balador for the last 25 years. A member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, active in the Walk to Emaus Association, and belonged to the Wagon Wheel Dance Club. He graduated from Gardner Webb University , Class of 1986, with degree in Theology and Science. He enjoyed tennis and golf and was an avid writer.

Mr. Sandifer is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Mosley Sandifer; two sons, John Sandifer and wife Donna; and Michael Sandifer and fiancee Stacy Flup all of Shelby; three sisters, Jean Holland and husband Gene of Gaffney SC, Joy Charlotte Bryley and husband Ron of Marshall,  and Sue Ellen Guffey and husband Carl of Roanoke VA.; a brother, Lonnie Paul Sandifer and wife Yokoia of Houston TX; three grandchldren, Zachary Sandifer, Seth Sandifer, and Hunter Sandifer; and a special friend, Kathy Sandifer.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at  4:00 pm  in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Irvin Price officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
