Bruce Thomas Simpson, 62, died Fri., Jan. 23, 2015, at his home.  A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Ellen Poston Simpson of Earl and the late Jesse Simpson.  He was a follower of NASCAR, and an avid Richard Petty fan.

SURVIVED: In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Gary Simpson and wife Lisa of Earl; brother, Larry Simpson of New House; grandchildren, Harley, Jason, Alexis, and Kimmie Simpson.

SERVICES:  Monday, 3p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Monday, 1:30-3p.m., at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
