 Lawndale - Mr. Charles Edward Lail, 76, of 114  Lail Court passed away

Thursday, June 6, 2012 at his home.

Born in Cleveland County on April 16, 1936, he was a son of the late Forrest

Taft Lail and Catherine Mae Franklin Lail.  Mr. Lail retired from Johnson

Brothers Trucking and later worked for Tar Heel Trucking and was a member of

Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church.  He served in the Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepson, Calvin

Crapps; brother, Steve Lail and stepdaughter, Evelyn Goble.

Mr. Lail is survived by his wife, Wanda L. Yost Lail; stepchildren, Glenn

Crapps of Hawaii, Alan Crapps of Lawndale; and Kathy Hanel of Shelby;

brothers, John Lail and Thomas Lail both of Lawndale; sisters, Doris

Dayberry, Ann Hubbard, and Nancy Dalton all of Lawndale; step grandchildren,

Jacy , 

Brandy, Edward, Bradley, Charli and Dakoto and step great grandchildren,

Cody and Liam.

A memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 9, at Pool House on Lail

Drive with Rev. Jack Waters officiating.
