Clara Bardee Stafford Shropshire Tate, 85, of Forest City, NC passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Services were held at A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at McKinney-Landreth and Carroll Funeral Home. Burial  was held in Sunset Memorial Park of Spindale, NC.

Mrs. Stafford was preceded in death by her first husband, J.D. Shropshire; her second husband, George Marcus Tate; her parents, Edd and Carrie Queen Stafford; one son, J.D. Shropshire, Jr. and one granddaughter, Maria LuJuan Shropshire Adams.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Donna Caviness and husband David and Johnny Shropshire; nine great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
