Mr. Coy Franklin Brackett, 80, of 510 Hicks Hill Road, Lawndale, died
Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Edley Franklin Brackett
and Lula Hoyle Brackett.

He was a member of Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church and retired from
textiles. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a
sister, Hershel Brackett, Carl Brackett and Connie Morris.

Mr. Brackett is survived by his wife of 61  years, Coleen Newton Brackett;
two sons, Danny Brackett and wife, Norma, and Jerry Brackett and wife, Lisa;
three daughters, Nita Whisnant and husband, Donald, Doris Clary and husband,
Richard, Debbie Ledbetter and husband, Bobby; four sisters, Phyllis Waters
and husband, Jack, Nancy Pearson and husband, Ray, Mary Blanton and husband,
Jim, and Mildred Costner and brother-in-law, RL Morris; twelve
grandchildren, Mandy Wease, Donnie Whisnant, Jennie Spangler, Brad Whisnant,
Jeff Whisnant, Jeremy Brackett, Rick Clary, Brandy Hamrick, Laura Yancey,
Danielle King, Jeri Michelle Brackett and Tyler Brackett; thirteen great
grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews.

Visitation:  1:00 until 2:00 pm Tuesday at Lawndale Missionary Methodist
Church Fellowship Hall.

Funeral:  2:30 pm Tuesday at Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church.

Officiating:  Revs. Lamar Hewitt and Harry Queen.

Internment:  Rose Hill Memorial Park immediately following the service.
