 Pastor Mel Campos, the Minister of Evangelism and Outreach at Crestview Baptist Church was diagnosed with bone and stomach cancer a few weeks ago. After receiving the news his church, family and friends came together to honor and hold a fundraiser for him. A spaghetti dinner was held at the Masonic Lodge in Boiling Springs on Saturday, August 18. The support received was overwhelming. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. well over 1100 dinners were served and over $20,000 was raised. It was indicative of what people think about Mel Campos. Like Mel, the event was an inspiration full of faith and determination.
