Donald Costner Lovelace, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at home.  A native of Cleveland County he was the son of the late Elam Costner and Mary Wynomah Bridges.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Evelyn Lovelace and his daughter Susan Clement.  Mr. Lovelace served his country in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors and taking his family camping.

Mr. Lovelace is survived by his two daughters, Lynda Lovelace and Lisa Lovelace Baucom both of Boiling Springs; three grandchildren, Shane Clement, Shaye Sumner and husband Andrew, and Shasta Clement; and two great grandsons, A.J. and Julian.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church.  Pastor Buddy Morehead and Dr. Robert Lamb will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00pm prior to the service at the church in the Family Life Center.  At other times the family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, 106 Cherryville Road, Shelby, NC 28150 to defray funeral expenses.
