 Mr. Earl Wease, Sr., 89, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery. 

Mr. Wease was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Arrowood Wease; his parents, Don M. and Essie Green Wease; and his step-mother, Carrie Mayhue Wease.

He is survived by 1 son, “Sonny” Wease and wife Lucy of Casar, NC; 2 daughters, Earline Marlowe of Gastonia, NC and Kathy Curtis and husband Frank of Shelby; 1 sister, Carol Bridges of Shelby; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The American Cancer Society, 500 E. Morehead St., Suite 211, Charlotte, NC; or to: American Alzhemer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
