Ella Brown Boyd


 Ella Brown Boyd,  61, 402 N. Charleston St., Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord July 10, 2014, at home.  Born in Salineville, Ohio, she is the wife of Donald Everett Boyd, Sr. of the home and a daughter of the late William Henry and Guyola Hill Brown.   She was a member of Faith Temple Holiness Church Of Jesus Christ, Gaffney, SC.  She was a faithful wife and a dedicated and loving mother.   She considered her grandchildren to be blessings.    She was born into the kingdom of our Lord, by baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost.  She was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all. 

 
Surviving in addition to her loving husband, Donald, are four sons - Donald E. "D.J." Boyd, Jr. of Rogers, Ohio, and Dustin Boyd, Charley Boyd and Jake Boyd all of Gaffney, SC;  four daughters - Tressa Childers of  Gaffney, SC, Guyola Utt and Amanda Jones both of Blacksburg, SC, and Sarah Coyle of Gaffney, SC; 26 grandchildren; one brother - Emmett Samuel Brown of WV; and three sisters - Dorothy Brown Greathouse Bardo of Salineville, Ohio, Lucy Marlene Brown Young of AR, and Ola M. Crislip of FL.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by nine brothers - Odell, Forest, Thomas, Harold, Joseph, James, Charles, John and Abe; and three sisters - Agnes Brown Rogers, Celesta Brown Allen and Delphia Brown Dickson. 
 
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Friday, July 11, 2014, 6:00 PM, at Faith Temple Holiness Church Of Jesus Christ, Pastored by Rev. John Boyd,  318 West Buford Street, Gaffney, SC, with Rev. Joseph Boyd officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service.  Interment will be Saturday, July 12, 2014, 11:30 AM, at Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg, SC.  At other times, the family will be at the home.
