Ellen Grafing Carscaddon, age 58 died Sunday August 18, 2013 at Hospice Cleveland County. Born in Brooklyn NY on June 26, 1955, she was the daughter of Jack and Norma Kunz Grafing of Fletcher, Ellen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She started working in 1989 at Rainbow Connection in many capacities and at  present was the director. She and her Maltese were certified Therapy Dog team and she took them to local nursing homes and assisted living homes to spend time with the residents. She was very creative with her needlework and croquets. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, and yard work,  

Ellen is survived by her husband of 29 years, David Carscaddon; three daughters, Megan Carscadden and husband Steven of Shelby, Katie Carscaddon of Richmond VA., and Lindsey Carscaddon of Brevard; a brother, Richard Grafing of Toledo, Ohio; and a granddaughter Georgia Rose Carscaddon.

Funeral Mass will be on celebrated on  Thursday August 22, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church by Father Michael Kottar. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:30pm until 7:00 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Rosary will begin at 5:00pm in the chapel. A private burial will be held at a later date.
