Mrs. Emmagene Donahue Knight, 83, of 521 N. Mulberry Street, Cherryville, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Services were held at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church. Burial followed in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. 

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. “Frank” Knight; her parents, Jesse Donahue and Ivy Melton Donahue; 1 daughter, Vickie Knight Myers; and 3 sons, Franklin Lee Knight, James Durant Knight and Carroll Ray Knight.

She is survived by 2 sons, Cecil Knight and wife Mabel of Ellenboro, and Wade Knight and wife Denise of Bessemer City; 2 daughters, Frankie Sanders and husband Jerry, and Joanna Franklin and husband Robert, all of Cherryville, NC; 3 sisters, Jamie Melton of Lancaster of SC, Gay Nell Leaird of Pageland, SC, and Fay Ruth Knight of Grenta, VA; 2 brothers, Lance Donahue of Scottsville, KY and Bill Donahue of Ruby, SC; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
