Ezra “E.V.” Vernon Moss, Jr.

Ezra “E.V.” Vernon Moss, Jr., age 81, of Carmel Road Charlotte, died September 30, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. E.V. was born November 22, 1931 in Gaston County a son of the late Ezra Vernon Moss, Sr. and Pearl Houser Moss. Mr. Moss was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant. He was a loving, Christian husband, father and brother.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Shell Moss.

Survivors include a daughter Mary Moss and husband Robert Freestate of Maryville ,TN, two brothers Aaron B. Moss and wife Nancy and Dr. Thomas Moss of Shelby, longtime friend, Pat Benoit, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Carpenter’s Funeral and Cremation Services in Cherryville on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Mr. Robert Freestate officiating. Burial will be Private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
