Flossie Hamrick Ragan
Tuesday, October 8, 2013 10:03 am Flossie Hamrick Ragan, 85, 147 Ragan Trail, Blacksburg, SC, died September 30, 2013. Born in Cleveland County, NC, she was the widow of the late Lester Ragan, Sr., and was a daughter of the late Joseph Claude and Clara Cooper Hamrick. She and Lester owned the Ragan Auction Barn for many years in Gaffney, SC.
She is survived by two sisters - Frances Hamrick of Kings Mountain, NC, and Mary Sue Laughter of Ellenboro, NC; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by one son - Lester Ragan, Jr.; four sisters - Middie Irene Page, Rebecca Pearson, Myrtle Hawkins and Brenda Bridges; and two brothers - J. Y. Hamrick and Joe Hamrick.
Her family and friends will celebrate her life Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 3:00 PM, graveside at King's Creek Church Of God Cemetery, with Revs. Wayne Arrowood and Lucky Earls.
At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
