Floyd Lemons, 79 of Shelby, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2011. Services were held at Dover Baptist Church. Burial was held in Cleveland Memorial Park.

Mr. Lemons served our country in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He also served in the reserves for four years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Elzie Lemons and  Sudie Bailey Lemons and sisters: Lucille Lemons, Elizabeth Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Marjorie Sisk Lemons of the home; daughters: Debbie Gibson and husband Steve Mauldin of SC; Terrie Gibson and husband David of Shelby; brothers, Larry Lemons of Shelby; Harold Lemons of Shelby; sisters: Joyce Gardner of Shelby; Brenda Wheat of Gaffney, SC; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory is serving the family.
