Mr. George H. Latham, 83, of Shelby, NC passed away Saturday, October 23,  2010. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park. 

Mr. Latham served our country in the U.S. Navy – World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Augustus and Annie Ruth Brown Latham.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia H. Latham of the home; 2 daughters, Carolyn Gold and husband Phil of Lattimore, and Sue Harmon and husband Wade of Boiling Springs; 3 sons, Bob Lathan and wife Bonnie of Upland California, Tommy Latham and wife Regina of Shelby, and Joe Latham of Smyrna, Tenn.; 1 brother, Dean Latham and wife Koko of Leesburg, Va.; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
