 SHELBY- Mrs. Gussie Wright Morrison, 90, of 610 Blythe Road, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Rutherford County, she was born June 20, 1921, daughter of the late Jessie Burton and Alice Philbeck Wright. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and she was a wonderful caregiver for her family members and friends. She was a member of Lafayette Street UMC. 

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lawson Thomas “LT” Morrison and eight brothers and sisters. 

SURVIVED: She is survived by one son, Dennis Morrison and wife Cynthia; one daughter, Annette Tessener and husband Kenneth; one brother, Tom Wright all of Shelby; five grandchildren, Kim Browne, Brian Tessener, Denise Keeter, Crystal Flynn, and Donna Willis; twelve great grandchildren, Ashley, Colton, Ethan, Anndrea, Morgan, David, John, Catherine, Shelbi, Colman, Cooper, and Zachary. 

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Lafayette Street UMC. 

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm Thursday at Lafayette UMC. 

CLERGY: Dr. Tom Stegald 

BURIAL: Entombment will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
