 Mr. J.B. Wright, Jr., 94, of 721 Live Oak St., Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. A Private Burial followed Cleveland Memorial Park. 

Mr. Wright served our country in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Moss Wright; his parents, Jesse and Alice Philbeck Burton Wright, Sr.; 1 granddaughter, Kay Stamey; 3 brothers, Zay, Bill and Ben Wright; and 4 sisters, Lala Bailey, Myrtle Wright, Gassie Kale, and Mattie Ivey.

He is survived by 1 son, Steve Wright and wife Wanda of Boiling Springs; 1 daughter, Diana Putnam; 1 sister, Gussie Sue Morrison; 1 brother, Tom Wright and wife Frances, all of Shelby; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association,, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
