James Robert Hoyle
Mr. James Robert Hoyle, 85 of Shelby passed away March 29, 2016 at Testa Hospice House.
Born June 12, 1930 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Lemuel Jackson Hoyle and Mirtle Newton Hoyle. He was retired from Blackstone Electric and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Shelby. Mr. Hoyle served in the US Airforce during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Huss Hoyle and two brothers, Buren Hoyle and Carl Hoyle; sister, Pauline Daves.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Hoyle and wife, Cathy of Raleigh; daughter, Debbie Smith and husband, Mickey of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Amelia Hoyle, Kathryn Smith, Lauren Tramble and husband Corey; and a dear friend, Evelyn Woods of Shelby.
Visitation will be Friday at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Stamey - Tysinger Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Friday at 2:00 PM at Stamey- Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cathy Hoyle and Rev. Jamie Mosteller officiating.
Burial will follow in Bethphage Lutheran Church Cemetery.
