Jeanette Mellon, 70 of Hatcher Road, Shelby, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at her residence.

Born in Cleveland County, on August 1, 1953 , she was the daughter of the late James Herman Mellon and Martha Sue Costner Mellon.

Survivors include her sister, Janie Craig of Shelby; two brothers, Donnie Mellon of Shelby and Ricky Mellon and wife, Patricia of Shelby; nephews, Thomas Craig, Christopher Mellon, Nicholas Mellon and Jimmy Mellon; nieces, Tonya Black, Catherine Mellon, Holly Anderson, Kimberly Mellon, Shilda Mellon, Rhonda Mellon, Tammy Mellon and Melisa Towery; great-niece, Cameron Black and numerous other great nieces and nephews.
