Jerry Melvin Smith, 54, of Lawndale, passed away on January 04, 2025 at his home.

Jerry was born on September 23, 1970 in Cleveland County, and was a son of Zenie Ellen Hudson Smith of Lawndale the late Melvin Millard Smith. He was a truck driver for DPH Trucking. He had a passion for motorcycles, hunting, fishing and racing in his big rig.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his sons Tony Smith of Hickory and Brady Smith and fiancée Kelsey Rector of Casar, NC; sister, Diane Smith Dale and husband Walter of Casar; two granddaughters, Sadie and Maycee Smith; nephew, Michael Dale of Casar, niece, Christal Markland and husband David of Polkville; two great nieces, Kaylee and Dakota Markland; and many special friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Zoar Baptist Church, Casar with the Rev. Danny Ledford.
