Morganton - Mr. Jimmy Dean Cook, 69, of Bethel Road, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Carolina Healthcare Systems - Blue Ridge.

Jimmy was born in Cleveland County, NC on September 3, 1951 a son of the late Rev. McOvie Larn Cook and Darles Poole Cook. He retired from Hickory Hill Furniture.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, David Allen Parlier; five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Jean Miller of Connelly Springs and April Cook Docalavich of Newton; a son, Stevie Dean Cook of Concord; three sisters, Martha Austin of Blowing Rock; Jane Lail and Ann Pruett both of Lawndale; a brother, Michael Cook of Casar; the mother of his children, Jean Pugh of Conover; seven grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 11:45am to 12:45pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Hank Rudisill officiating.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions social distancing and masks will be required.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
