Cherryville - Mrs. Joann Lowe Carpenter, 80, passed away on Monday, February
10, 2020.

Joann was born on January 28, 1940 in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the
late Mack Coleman Lowe and Annie Jones Lowe. She was a homemaker and a
member of First United Methodist Church in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald
Jerry Carpenter four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her son, Alan Carpenter and wife, Stephanie of Dallas; two
daughters, Donna Mellon and husband Ronnie of Vale and Marsha Griffith and
husband Eric of Cherryville; a brother, Roy Lee Lowe; three sisters, Edith
Garris and Goldie Bryant all of West Palm Beach, FL and a sister Effie Tyre
of Holiday, FL and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:45PM to 2:45PM on Friday, February 14, 2020 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, February 14,
2020 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zack Christy
officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery.
