Judith Faye Ledford Mellon, 56, of 720 Ed Hamrick Road, Shelby, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at her residence.

Born May 25, 1956 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late William Newell Ledford and Dorothy Self Ledford.  She was retired from PPG Azdel Inc. after 28 years of service.  Judy was a member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church and attended Corinth Baptist Church in Casar.

Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Donnie Mellon; a son, Brian Blanton and wife, Sheri of Shelby; two stepsons, Chris Mellon and wife, Stacy and Nicholas Mellon and wife, Catherine all of Lawndale; two brothers, Neal Ledford of Shelby and Greg Ledford of Golden Valley; four sisters, Cindy Ledford and Tammy Carico both of Shelby, Trudy Brackett of Casar and Wanda Toney of Golden Valley; and nine grandchildren.
