Vale - Kenneth Wayne Lingerfelt, 83, went home to be with his Heavenly
Father on July 26, 2018. Wayne passed away at home surrounded by his
family.

Born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on December 22, 1934, He was a son of
the late Hal Brenard Lingerfelt and Maggie E. Boyles Lingerfelt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63
years, Peggy Houser Lingerfelt.

Survivors include three daughters, Joy Hunt and husband Phil of Vale; Vicky
Lingerfelt of Vale and Penny Hennessee and husband Jeffery of Bessemer City
granddaughter, Britney Lingerfelt of Vale and a great-grandson, Landyn
Elmore of Lincolnton.

Wayne is also survived by a sister, Joan L. Mylton and husband, John of Port
Saint Lucie, Florida and two brothers, Carroll Lingerfelt and Hal Lingerfelt
both of Vale

The visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday at Bess Chapel United Methodist
Church with Rev. Cathy Turman and Pastor Dale Pederson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bess Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
