June 20, 1907 - May 4, 2012

Vale - Mr. Kieffer Brendel, 104, of 6468 W Hwy 27, Vale passed away Friday, May 4, at Brian Center - Lincolnton.

Born June 20, 1907 in  Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Joseph Henry Brendel and Ellen Houser Brendel.  Mr. Brendel was a member of Hull's Grove Baptist Church and a self-employed farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eddy Brendel.

Mr. Brendel is survived by his wife, Muriel Hull Brendel; daughter, Fonda Kiser and husband Roger of Vale; sister, Edith Waldrop of Valdese; grandchildren, Chelsea Kelly, Stacey Brendel and Cory Brendel; great grandchildren, Holden Kelly and Parker Kelly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:15 pm, Tuesday, at Hull's Grove Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at  6:30 pm Tuesday  at Hull's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Redding officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
