Mr.Larry N. Bell, 71, of Shelby passed away on May 19, 2012.  Services were held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents Edgar Manning Bell and Rosie Abernathy Bell; brothers-in-law, Jerry Wimberly and Gene Gilleland.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years Barbara Ann McSwain Bell; son, Gary Bell and wife Sharon of Sherrills Ford; daughter, Karen Hartsoe and husband Jeff of Maiden; step daughter, Anita Baker and husband Jeff of Shelby; brother, Arnold Bell of Newton; sisters, Almetta Wimberley of Maiden, Betty Gilleland of Maiden and Millie Clark and husband Ken of Spruce Pine; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
