Leonard Moore Huffstetler, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.  A native of Cleveland County he was the son of the late Howard Leonard and Geneva Moore Huffstetler.  He was also preceded in death by his wife Gail Huffstetler and a sister Nancy Collins.  Mr. Huffstetler was employed with Dover Mill for 40 years and ended his career at Lowe’s Home Improvement Center.  He was also the previous owner of Helping Hands Nursing Service.  Mr. Huffstetler was a member of Dover Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and was a deacon.  His favorite hobby was playing golf and he was a member of the PGA.

Mr. Huffstetler is survived by his daughter, Lynn Towery and husband Ricky of Lattimore; son, Eric Huffstetler of Knoxville, Tn; daughter-in-law, Ruth Huffstetler of Shelby; son, Brian Huffstetler and wife Ashley of Shelby; brothers, Rick Huffstetler and wife Wanda of Mooresville and Ed Huffstetler and wife Kathy of Bridgewater, Va; sister, Joan Eslick of Shelby; sister-in-law, Vicki Lowery of Shelby; 8 grandsons; and 1 great granddaughter. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Dover Baptist Church.  Dr. Bulo Price will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  At other times the family will be at the home of Brian and Ashley Huffstetler.
