Cherryville - Mrs. Linda Dellinger Ross, 61, of 309 Tot Dellinger Road,
passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in
Charlotte.

Linda was born on April 30, 1954 a daughter of the late Tom and Maude
Dellinger. She worked at Accutrol in Shelby and Ross Repair in Cherryville.
Linda was a very active and faithful member of First Baptist Church in
Cherryville serving her Lord in many different capacities including,
Assistant Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School, Children's Church,
Prayer Quilt Ministry and God's Planned Harvest.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Forrest Ross, Jr., of the home;
two sons, John Ross and wife Lorna and Josh Ross all of Cherryville; two
daughters, Melanie Sherrill and husband Vince of Lincolnton and Amanda Ross
and fiancé, Will Scruggs of Cherryville; birth mother, Shirley Dellinger
Houser of Vale; four brothers, Click Dellinger, Jack Dellinger and Gary
Dellinger all of Cherryville and Junior Houser of Vale; seven sisters, Kathy
Carpenter, Ruby Keever, Carolyn Camp, Gay Ramsey all of Cherryville,
Frankie Bess of Waco, Katherine Moore of Vale and Brenda Small of
Lincolnton; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 2:45PM at
First Baptist Church in Cherryville and at other times the family will be at
the home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00PM on Saturday, February
13, 2016 at First Baptist Church with the Dr. Vince Hefner and Rev. Jerry
Lail officiating.

Burial will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherryville.
