Mabel Huss Greene, 91, of, Shelby, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015
at her home.

She was born in Lincoln County on December 11, 1923, to the late Noah Carse
Huss and Ava Bess Huss. She was retired from Cleveland Community College
and Cleveland Regional Medical Center and was a charter member of Aldersgate
United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her stepmother. Sarah
Huss; first husband Ned Gantt; second husband, Harley Ethan Greene; four
brothers, Boyce Huss, Roger Huss, Johnny Huss, and Donald Huss; and sister,
Thelma Hoyle.

She is survived by her four sons, David Greene and wife Lynn of Ellenboro;
Harley Greene, Jr. of Miami, FL; Eric Greene and wife Harriette of Shelby;
and Gary Greene and wife Lynne of Raleigh; three brothers, Harry Huss, of
Crouse, Edwin Huss of Crouse, and N.C. Huss, Jr. of Lincolnton; two sisters,
Christine Dixon of Crouse and Marie Sigmon of Cherryville; eight
grandchildren, Miriam Hale and husband Shannon, Holly Greene, Jonathan
Greene and wife Jennifer, Derek Greene, Hillary Greene, Colby Greene,
Heather Watson and husband Jefferey and Lindsey Duncan and husband Josh; and
six great grandchildren, Alex and Noah Hale, Harley Watson, Jaxson and
Holland Greene, and Maple May Cookson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Saturday at
Aldersgate United Methodist Church Epworth Center. Condolences may be made

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at Cleveland Memorial Park,
Boiling Springs with the Rev. Sylvia Wilhelm officiating.
