SHELBY- Mrs. Margaret Callahan, 87, of Shelby passed away, Saturday, November 10, 2012 at her residence. A native of Cleveland County she was born January 30, 1925, daughter of the late Otto and Annie Hamrick Long. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Shelby and a math teacher in Cleveland county and Winston Salem for over 44 years. She was a graduate of Meredith College and she was also a genealogy enthusiast.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Callahan; one son, Robert W. Callahan.
SURVIVED: She is survived by one grandson, Chris Callahan and wife Karina Vazquez of Charlotte; one granddaughter, Erin Callahan-Price and her spouse A.J. Price of Durham, NC; one daughter-in-law, Karen Callahan of Charlotte.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Shelby, Webb Chapel.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Webb Chapel of First Baptist Church.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.
