SHELBY- Margaret Murray, 82, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Cleveland Co., she was born to the late George and Kathleen Hamrick Lancaster. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed tending to her flower garden. She was retired from Grover Industries.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Clayton Murray; two infant children; son Alexander Gettys Murray; and brothers Melvin and Dan Lancaster.

SURVIVED: She is survived bu her son, Joe Murray and wife Patricia of Shelby; daughters, Kathleen Murray of Boiling Springs and Ann Dial and husband James of Blacksburg, SC; sister Evelyn Lancaster of Shelby; brothers, Weldon Lancaster and wife Gladys of Shelby and William "Bill" Lancaster of Gaffney, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES: A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 PM

CLERGY: Rev. Dale Welch, officiating
