Margaret Summerlin Dixon, 94, of Kings Mountain, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at her residence. A native of Hamilton County TN, she was born January 12, 1920, daughter of the late Forest and Margaret Wilkes Summerlin. She was a member of Dixon Presbyterian Church, former member of the Southern Arts Society and retired from Autery Smathers Insurance Agency in Asheville. 

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dixon and a sister Francis Viglione.

SURVIVED: She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Clapp and Pat Blanton and husband Richard all of Kings Mountain; one sister Peggy Fielden of Silver Springs, MD; two grandchildren, Jennifer Blanton Hale and husband Shane of Lincolnton and Wesley Blanton and Beth Graham of Clover, SC; one great grandchild, Bethany Blanton of Clover, SC.

SERVICES: There will be a Memorial service at Dixon Presbyterian Church at a later date, and will be announced by the family.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorials be made to Dixon Presbyterian Church, 602 Dixon School Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
