Mrs. Marie Smith Collins, 90, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010. Services were held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home Chapel & Crematory, Shelby, NC. A Private Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park. 

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Otha E. Collins; her parents, Sam Smith and Annie Bell Runyans Smith; 1 brother, Clarence T. Smith; 2 sisters, Jeanette Lowery and twin sister, Margaret Spencer.

She is survived by 1 son, Eddie Collins and wife Debra of Palatka, Florida; 1 sister, Dolores “Snookie” Hamrick of Shelby; 1 nephew; 1 niece; 3 great nieces; and 1 great nephew.
