Martha Sue Costner Mellon, 80, of Shelby, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born April 10, 1932 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Ivey Costner.  She was a homemaker and member of Plainsview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Herman Mellon, two sons, a brother, and three sisters.

Survivors include her sons Donald Mellon and wife Judy of Shelby,Tony Richard Mellon and wife Patricia of Shelby, two daughters Jeanette Mellon of the home, and Janie Craig of Shelby eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Visitation:  11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Wednesday at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church


Funeral Service: 12:00 PM Wednesday at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Officiating: Rev. Norris Willis
