Mrs. Mary Laura McDaniel Mintz, 90, of 110 Marcus Drive, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at White Oak Manor. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Buena Franklin McDaniel. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rush Shull MIntz; brother Theron “Duck” McDaniel;  and sister Evie McDaniel Matheny.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Ronald Mintz of Greensboro; daughter Robin Magness and husband Charlie of Shelby; three grandchildren, Holly, Josh, and Rebecca Mintz, all of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Ernestine Toney and husband Paul of Ellenboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Mary’s Caregivers for their love and care at White Oak Manor.

SERVICES: Graveside service, 2pm, Monday, Sunset Cemetery.
