Mr. Matt Barrett, 32, of 124 Lear St., Shelby, NC passed away Friday, October 8, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery. 

Mr. Barrett was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Debbie Jones Barrett.

He is survived by his companion, Christina Moore; 1 son, Gavin Edward Barrett; 2 daughters, Alyssa Nicole Barrett and Candice Leigh Barrett; 2 sisters, Lisa Barrett and Karen Barrett; and 2 brothers, Jason Barrett and Phillip Jones, all of Shelby.
