Cherryville - Mr. Michael Lee Boies, 65, of 2241 Fairways Drive, passed away
on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.

Michael was born in Austin, Texas on September 14, 1951 a son of Blanche
Beam Boies of Cherryville and the late Jimmie Lee Boies. He attended
Lenoir-Rhyne University, was a graduate of Appalachian State University and
received his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland.
Michael was retired as a substance abuse counselor from Palmer Prevention,
Inc., in Pembroke, NC. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in
Cherryville and was an avid photographer and enjoyed taking pictures for
many different occasions.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Blanche Beam Boies and Frank
Pragacz of Cherryville; a brother, Dana Lee Boies of Matthews; a sister,
Yvonne Nicopoulos of Davidson, NC; three nephews, John and Jimmie Nicopoulos
and David Boies and a special aunt, Beth Beam Wright of Cherryville.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2:45 to 3:45PM in the
Vida Dellinger parlor at St. John's Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM at St. John's Lutheran Church with
Pastor Michael Collins officiating.

Burial will be Private.
